I have excellent writing skills; as part of my work over the years I have written many blurbs, abstracts, introductions, website reviews, etc. I wrote lessons for an e-learning project on web publishing developed in Dublin by Nua. More recently I have written instructional-video scripts for Skillsoft, and tests for English-language teaching books developed by Dataflow International for Cambridge University Press. I have also written novels, screenplays, poems and songs. In December 2012 I published a novel entitled Larris & Me aimed at children and teenagers.

I am coauthor with Professor Michael Fitzgerald of Genius Genes: How Asperger Talents Changed the World.

I wrote a booklet entitled Munterconnaught Uncovered: Heritage of a Rural Cavan Community, published by Munterconnaught Heritage Society (of which I am treasurer).

On a voluntary basis, I wrote/edited Munterconnaught’s entry in the Eir ‘FibrePower Your Community’ competition in 2015 (I am secretary of Munterconnaught Community Broadband Project). This was chosen as the winner out of 36 entries from all over the Republic of Ireland. As a result, Eir will invest €400,000 in high-speed broadband in my local area.
